No Summer Vacation for PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports
 
Rigorous LMPC testing schedule keeps PR1/Mathiasen busy this summer.

Not content to wait for the next round of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón to put the #52 Corsa Car Care Oreca FLM09 through its paces, Fresno, California based PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports has been thoroughly engaged in a rigorous testing program. With over half of the ALMS schedule remaining on the calendar, PR1/Mathiasen has recently given the #52's wheel over to Archie Hamilton, Michael Guasch, David Cheng, Ken Dobson, Rene Villenueve, and Francisco Salcedo. Traveling up and down California from the northern Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA back down south to Buttonwillow Raceway Park, PR1/Mathiasen is giving its prospective drivers a taste of the grueling diversity demanded by the ALMS circuit.

"We've never been the sort of team that sits idly by waiting for our next race to come," PR1/Mathiasen Team Principal, Bobby Oergel said. "After our debut season last year, a lot of new and established drivers have recognized that the #52 is a contender at every race on the calendar. Everyone that's been in the car has enjoyed the experience, and we've gleaned quite a bit of knowledge from having so many different driving styles in the car. In sports car racing, you have to balance the car and the strategy across multiple driver needs to earn podiums and class victories, so our somewhat brutal testing schedule has been very educational in this regard. Some of the new drivers have signed on already, some drivers already in the PR1/Mathiasen family are coming back. Needless to say, testing has been great, but we can't wait to get back to racing!"
